Chapter 43
The Rainbow Water Drop and the Golden Spark
Year 1 of the Rainbow Era, Spring Late Afternoon
Pip and Blossom watched a tiny fuzzy caterpillar crawl from Chloe's long pink hair onto a leaf, where it munched happily before the three friends turned their attention back to the meadow.
Chloe, Blossom, and Pip stand close together in the green grass under the big fern leaf. They look up at a big green leaf on a bush. A big round water drop sits right on top of the leaf. The sun shines on the water. Red, blue, and yellow light dances on the wet drop. Chloe claps her hands with a happy smile. Pip points his little finger at the sparkle and lets out a soft, joyful gasp.
Pip holds a little brown stick in his tiny hand. He pokes the big green leaf very softly. The round water drop wobbles back and forth and then rolls right off the edge. It goes plop into the green moss down below, making a tiny wet splash that makes Chloe giggle.
Blossom smiles big and waves her thin green wand near a tall blade of wet grass. A bright little yellow spark pops out with a tiny soft ping sound. Chloe claps her hands with joy, and Pip reaches up high on his tiptoes to try and touch the warm floating light before it fades away in the late afternoon sun.
