The Green Fern Leaf Mustache and the Silly Tumble
Year 1 of the Rainbow Era, Spring Late Afternoon
Pip almost grabbed his lost blue pebble in the clover, but instead touched a sleepy bumblebee who buzzed softly and went right back to sleep.
The sun shines with a warm golden glow over the grassy meadow. A tiny silver seed floats softly on the cool breeze. Pip sees the seed and wants to catch it. He stretches his little arms out wide. He leans too far forward on the wet soil. His tiny fairy shoes slip on the grass. Pip tumbles backward into a soft pile of green fern fronds with a funny rustling sound.
Chloe and Blossom watch with wide eyes. They cover their mouths with their tiny hands in surprise. Then they both burst into happy giggles. Pip sits up from the damp fern leaves. A broad green fern leaf rests right on top of his nose like a funny green mustache. Chloe claps her sparkly pink shoes in delight and laughs out loud.
Blossom tiptoes close with a soft smile on her face. She reaches out her tiny green hands to lift the leaf away from Pip's nose. Pip crosses his eyes to look at the funny leaf mustache and giggles too. The warm golden sunbeam shines down on them as they get ready to look for the missing blue pebble again.
