Chapter 24
The Shiny Blue Pebble and the Tall Green Grass
Year 1 of the Rainbow Era, Spring Late Afternoon
Blossom uses her tiny sparkly wand to splash a clean drop of water on Pip's tummy to wash away the brown mud, making Pip giggle and Chloe clap her hands.
Pip opens his small hand to look at his favorite shiny blue pebble. A gust of wind blows past them in the green meadow. Pip trips a little bit, and the shiny blue pebble rolls right out of his hand. It hides deep down in the thick green grass.
Pip looks down at the ground with a sad face. Chloe and Blossom bend down close to help him search. Chloe gets down low on her knees in the wet green grass. Blossom flies close to the dirt with her tiny sparkly wand.
They look under every green blade for the shiny blue pebble. Chloe has her bright pink hair tucked behind her ears. Blossom's wings buzz with a soft hum. The grass feels cool and wet on Chloe's fingers. They keep looking for the lost treasure.
