The Chilly Grey Cloud and the Warm Fern Leaf
Year 1 of the Rainbow Era, Spring Late Afternoon
A fuzzy green caterpillar tickled Chloe's long pink hair, making her giggle with joy. Then, a big grey cloud hid the sun and brought a cold shadow over the meadow.
A big puffy grey cloud slides right over the warm sun in the sky. The bright green meadow turns a little dark and chilly. Chloe, Blossom, and Pip stop playing and shiver together under the big fern leaf as the warm light fades.
Blossom feels the cold air and beats her sparkly wings fast to reach the dry fern leaf. She sits close to Chloe to share warmth. The little green caterpillar curls up tight in Chloe's pink hair to stay safe from the cool breeze. Chloe hugs her little berry basket close and hopes the warm sun will come back soon.
