Chapter 40
The Bouncy Clover Hat and the Green Grass Chase
Year 1 of the Rainbow Era, Spring Late Afternoon
Pip happily put his found blue pebble safe in his shirt pocket while Chloe and Blossom smiled in the warm meadow sun.
The Silly Leaf Hat
Pip finds a soft green clover leaf on the damp ground. He picks it up with his tiny hands and puts it right on top of his head. The big leaf flops down over one ear like a funny hat.
Chloe and Blossom look at him and laugh out loud with big bright smiles. Pip wiggles his head back and forth to make the green leaf bounce.
The Swift Green Chase
Pip laughs as he wears his big clover leaf hat. A quick puff of cool wind sweeps past the big fern leaf.
The green clover hat lifts right off Pip's head. It rolls fast across the soft moss and damp grass while Chloe and Blossom chase after it with little shouts.
