Chapter 27
Honey Biscuits and the Cloud Beanstalk
Friday, May 15, 2026
While Barnaby the tow truck driver worked to clear the delivery van blocking the mossy gateway, Lilly and Blossom prepared to spend the night at the big dog house after a chilly day of searching for a keyhole in the snow.
The Snowy Obstacle and Sheshah's Dream
The next morning brought a sparkling white surprise as soft snow covered everything in the magical land. Sheshah, Lilly, Blossom, Dino, and Fernanda spent a long, cold day wandering through the chilly landscape. They looked closely at old trees and mossy rocks, but they could not find a single keyhole anywhere for their tiny metallic key. As afternoon faded into evening, Lilly and Blossom decided it was time to head back to the human world. When they reached the mossy wooden gateway, however, they found it was still blocked by the big delivery truck. Since they could not cross back just yet, they accepted a warm invitation to spend the night at the big dog house instead.
That night, Sheshah curled up warmly in her cozy puppy bed and drifted off to sleep. She had a wonderful, vivid dream filled with shimmering clouds and secret doors. When she woke up the next morning, her heart did a happy little flutter because she knew precisely where the key belonged. It fit into a secret little door hidden right at the bottom of a towering giant beanstalk, complete with winding stairs that climbed all the way up into the fluffy white cloud kingdom.
Breakfast on the Porch and the Sprout in the Garden
The next morning arrived with bright sunshine sparkling on the fresh snow. Back by the porch of the big dog house, Lovelove and Nobity watched the children chatter excitedly. Lovelove pulled a large tray of golden, sweet-smelling honey biscuits right out of the oven, while Nobity poured warm apple cider into tiny mugs so everyone could have a hearty, comforting breakfast before embarking on their big journey.
With their tummies full of warm biscuits and sweet cider, Sheshah bounced out across the frosty lawn with her tail wagging. She called to Lilly, Blossom, Dino, and Fernanda, urging them to follow her behind the vegetable patch. There, reaching high into the clear blue sky, stood a shimmering green beanstalk wrapped in glowing silver frost. Neat little wooden steps spiraled all the way up the thick green stem, disappearing into a soft cloud overhead and inviting the adventurous group to take their very first step upward.
