A Purple Hat and a Wiggly Cloak

While the music played and the happy garden parade marched past the bright flower beds, something a little bit sneaky was happening on the other side of the royal castle. A cheeky witch named Yucksta had hatched a plan to tiptoes into the castle and try to steal some of the magic that kept the sparkling fountain bubbling. She crept through the stone archway in her long purple cloak, looking all around with her pointy hat wobbling.

But the brave princess was wide awake and watching from the porch. Just as Yucksta sneaks inside, the quick-thinking princess grabs a big red rake and gently fights off the witch right in the head, bonking her cap with a funny little clonk that echoes across the courtyard and sends the startled intruder scurrying backward in complete surprise.

With a dramatic yelp and a shower of floating silver sparks, Yucksta scrambles out of the rose-scented garden path, muttering complaints about gardening tools as she hurries away to hide behind a giant squash patch. She trips over her own long cloak and tumbles backward into a prickly raspberry bush right outside the castle walls, trying very hard to make herself as small as a pumpkin.

Back on the castle lawn, the happy parade is still marching along when Sheshah stops flapping her soft puppy wings. She points her wet black snout toward the big vegetable patch, noticing a funny purple hat twitching behind a giant pumpkin. Sheshah nudges Lilly and Blossom with her soft nose, whispering that someone silly is hiding in the garden. The group giggles quietly, wondering if it is another fun game or just a very sleepy visitor.
