Delete your account

In the app or on the website

1. Sign in at aetherobserver.com or in the Aether Observer app.
2. Open your account menu (your picture, top right) and choose any settings page, then the Delete account tab. Or go straight to aetherobserver.com/account/delete.
3. If you pay for a plan, cancel it first under Billing, so you're not charged again.
4. Type DELETE and press Delete my account.

By email

Can't sign in? Email contact@aetherobserver.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm it's you and delete it within 30 days.

What is deleted

Straight away and permanently: your account, your sign-in, every story you own (including stories you shared with others) with their chapters, pictures, comics, narration and notes, your settings, and your token balance. Stories other people shared with you stay with them.

A few things stay, without your name on them: notes or chat messages you wrote in someone else's story (shown under the name you used at the time), anonymous visit counts, and payment records Stripe must keep by law. Our database host's automatic backups roll over within a few weeks. Want a copy of a story first? Each story's Settings has a download button.
